Job Overview

The Engineer will provide post‑startup technical services and assistance to Axens licensed technology units and non‑Axens units using Axens catalyst or adsorbent. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, performance monitoring, on‑site support during start‑ups, inspections, catalyst loadings, and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

Perform unit follow‑up in coordination with the Technical Services Group from headquarters and AME.
Provide technical troubleshooting and report to the Technical Services Group to support decision making.
Provide technical expertise for catalyst/adsorbent change‑outs where applicable.
Provide feedback for design and procedure improvements based on field experiences.
Analyze and monitor performance of current operating units.
Manage client interface during high‑stress situations such as start‑ups, turnarounds, and emergencies.
Collaborate with other Technical Services Group members to acquire a solid knowledge of Axens processes.
Fulfill the above work to the expected Axens standard.
Promote and respect quality standards in accordance with Axens headquarters QHSE objectives when on site.

Qualifications / Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree or engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in operations within petroleum refining or petrochemical industry.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills; ability to build long‑term customer relationships.
Entrepreneurial spirit with proactivity, innovation, and initiative.
Experience working in an interdisciplinary environment.

Additional Requirements

Proficiency in English. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
Willingness to travel frequently.
