industry. Our technology platform powers daily operations for franchise
operators and field service teams across multiple locations. We're at an
exciting inflection point where we're investing in our technology
infrastructure and team to support continued growth and operational
excellence.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Laravel Developer with strong product
leadership skills to join our small, high-impact engineering team. This is a
dual-focus role: you'll spend roughly half your time on hands-on full-stack
development and half on product management, stakeholder
communication, and technical requirements definition.

You'll work directly with franchise operators, executive leadership, and your
engineering counterpart to translate business needs into well-architected
solutions. This role is ideal for a senior developer who enjoys bridging the gap
between business and technology and wants ownership over the product
direction.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Stakeholder Management (50%)
● Serve as the primary technical point of contact for business
stakeholders
● Gather requirements through direct collaboration with franchise
operators and leadership

● Define clear acceptance criteria and technical specifications before
development begins
● Prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business goals
● Lead sprint planning, reviews, and demos
● Reduce communication cycles by clarifying requirements in real-time
● Own the product roadmap in collaboration with the fractional
technology leader

Full-Stack Development (50%)

● Design and implement features across the Laravel backend and
frontend
● Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
● Participate in code reviews and establish coding standards
● Contribute to reducing technical debt and improving test coverage
● Collaborate with the DevOps-focused developer on deployment and
infrastructure decisions
● Support API development for the iOS mobile application

Technical Environment

● Backend: PHP 8.x / Laravel (monolithic architecture with multi-tenant
data model)
● Database: AWS RDS MySQL 8
● Frontend: Laravel Blade, JavaScript
● Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ELB), Laravel Forge
● Mobile: iOS app (Swift) communicates via REST API
● Version Control: GitHub with branch protection
● Integrations: Stripe, Twilio, Mailgun, Firebase, Google Maps/Analytics
● Project Management: Asana, Slack

Requirements

Must Have

● 5+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel
● Strong full-stack development skills (backend-heavy is fine)
● Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Comfort working directly with non-technical stakeholders
● Experience with MySQL and relational database design
● Familiarity with REST API design and development
● Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote
environment
● Available to work primarily during Pacific Time business hours

Nice to Have

● Previous experience as a tech lead, product owner, or in a hybrid
dev/PM role
● Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications
● Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3)
● Experience implementing automated testing in Laravel (PHPUnit, Pest)
● Background in franchise, field service, or operations-focused software
● Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
● iOS/Swift knowledge (for API collaboration)
