Responsabilites

Installation

Install PLC hardware and software systems.
Connect PLCs to sensors, actuators, and other control devices.
Ensure proper wiring and configuration according to design specifications.

Programming and Configuration

Develop and modify PLC programs using ladder logic, function block diagrams, or other programming languages.
Configure PLCs and related control systems for automation processes.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on PLC systems.
Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in PLC systems.
Troubleshoot faults in control panels, wiring, and PLC programs.

Testing and Commissioning

Test PLC programs and hardware before deployment.
Commission and validate new PLC installations or upgrades.
Perform system integration testing with other automation components.

Collaboration and Support

Work with engineers, operators, and other technicians to optimize system performance.
Provide technical support and training to plant personnel on PLC operations.
Assist in designing control systems and automation solutions.

Compliance and Safety

Ensure all PLC installations comply with safety regulations and company standards.
Implement fail-safe and emergency stop functions within PLC programs.
Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance.

Others:

Check the Power and Control Contractor / relay for any abnormality.
Check the control relays & connections for any looseness.
Check the motor overload relay for any abnormality.
Check the control wiring, any looseness & dressing of the wiring.
Check and clean the VFD (if available) with the help of Vacuum cleaner.
Check and clean the DBR of VFD (if available) with the help of vacuum cleaner.
Check control and power connections for any looseness. Report to supervisor if any observed any abnormality.

Profile

DIPLOMA or Graduate engineer in Electrical and electronics
Minimum 5 years ‘of experience in plant or similar for PLC.
