1.Purpose

The TTT Assistant Manager is an execution-focused, client-facing role responsible for delivering day-to-day work products across Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax, Accounting Compliance & Reporting, eInvoicing, and AI-enabled tax use cases. The role works closely with client Tax/Finance/Technology stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions—building data pipelines, reconciliations, dashboards, test packs, and implementation documentation that enable measurable compliance and reporting outcomes.

The Assistant Manager operates as a key “engine room” contributor on engagements—owning discrete modules/tasks end-to-end (under Manager/Senior Manager direction) and ensuring delivery is accurate, well-documented, and client-ready.

2. Expected outcomes from the role (measurable “what success looks like”)

A. Tax & compliance delivery outcomes (Corporate Tax / Accounting Compliance & Reporting)

• Produces accurate, traceable outputs that support tax and accounting compliance reporting (datasets, reconciliations, exception logs, reporting packs) with minimal rework.
• Demonstrates consistent delivery hygiene: clear documentation, repeatable logic, and evidence-ready outputs.

B. Indirect Tax & eInvoicing outcomes

• Supports indirect tax reporting improvements through data readiness activities, validations, and exception handling routines.
• Where in scope, supports eInvoicing delivery by preparing/validating data, assisting with requirements and testing, and validating reporting outputs (including data-driven VAT reporting frameworks).
• Builds and maintains repeatable analytics workflows using tools such as Alteryx, produces dashboards using Tableau, and performs validations using SQL to support reconciliations and reporting confidence.

D. AI outcomes (practical support + validation)

• Supports AI/GenAI-enabled use cases by preparing structured inputs, documenting requirements, validating outputs against acceptance criteria, and supporting user adoption activities.
• Earns client trust through responsiveness, clarity, and structured execution; contributes to workshops with well-prepared materials, crisp analysis, and clear next steps.

A. Tax and compliance functional capability (execution depth)

• Working understanding of tax and compliance process flows and the data required to produce reporting outputs across Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax, and accounting-related compliance reporting.

B. Data, analytics & validation (tools capability — required)

• Hands-on capability in SQL (extract/validate data, joins/aggregations, reconciliation support).
• Hands-on proficiency in Alteryx for data preparation/workflows and Tableau for dashboarding/insights (or equivalent tools used on engagements).
• Ability to execute data quality checks, reconciliations, and exception monitoring rules; ability to explain results clearly to client stakeholders.

C. eInvoicing & digital indirect tax reporting (preferred but valuable)

• Understanding of eInvoicing implementation components (data fields, process impacts, integration touchpoints) and ability to support VAT reporting frameworks through validation and testing support.

D. AI/GenAI delivery support (required awareness)

• Ability to support AI/GenAI initiatives by preparing validation datasets, documenting acceptance criteria, testing output quality, and supporting adoption activities.

E. Solution design & SDLC execution (required at task/module level)

• Ability to produce high-quality delivery artifacts: user stories/requirements notes, data mapping sheets, process flows, test scenarios, defect logs, and release readiness checklists.
• Familiarity with basic software delivery lifecycle concepts (build/test/release), and ability to collaborate effectively with developers/technical teams on requirements and testing.
• Ability to support adoption by creating user guides, training materials, and handover documentation; captures user feedback and incorporates improvements.

5. Key responsibilities (what the role does)

A. Requirements support and solution development (client collaboration)

• Support requirements gathering through workshops and working sessions; document requirements, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• Translate requirements into structured artifacts (data mappings, business rules, process steps) and validate with client stakeholders.

B. Data preparation, validation and reconciliation (hands-on delivery)

• Extract and validate data using SQL; perform reconciliations, investigate variances, and document findings clearly.
• Build repeatable workflows using Alteryx (or equivalent) to clean, transform, and standardize datasets for reporting/analytics.

C. Dashboarding and reporting insights (hands-on delivery)

• Develop dashboards and analytics outputs using Tableau (or equivalent), ensuring metrics are defined correctly, visuals are clear, and outputs are refreshable and repeatable.

D. eInvoicing and VAT reporting support (where applicable)

• Support eInvoicing activities: data readiness, validation of mandatory fields, testing support, and reporting output checks (including data-driven VAT reporting frameworks where in scope).

E. Testing and implementation support (build-test-deploy)

• Prepare SIT/UAT assets: test scenarios, test scripts, test data, execution trackers, defect logs, and retest evidence.
• Support deployment readiness through checklists, user readiness inputs, and hypercare issue triage.

F. AI/GenAI use case support

• Support AI/GenAI solutions by documenting requirements, preparing validation datasets, validating outputs, and supporting adoption readiness activities.

G. Delivery governance and reporting (mandatory)

• Maintain task/workplan updates; provide RAID inputs; highlight dependencies early; elevate risks/issues promptly.

H. Team support and coaching

• Guide Consultants and junior staff on analysis, data validation, and dashboarding tasks; conduct first-level quality checks before Manager review.

I. Mobility (mandatory)

• Travel across MENA for key workshops and delivery milestones as required.

6.Q ualifications and experience

Required

• Typically 7+ years experience in tax technology delivery, tax/compliance reporting transformation, data & analytics delivery, or consulting/industry roles involving tax data and reporting.
• Hands-on capability with SQL and at least one analytics workflow and dashboarding tool—preferably Alteryx and Tableau to deliver reconciliations, dashboards, and reporting outputs.
• Demonstrated ability to support testing cycles (SIT/UAT), manage defects, and produce clear documentation for software-enabled solutions.

Preferred

• Experience supporting eInvoicing and VAT digital reporting initiatives, including data-driven VAT reporting frameworks.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI-enabled delivery support activities (validation, adoption support, controls through human oversight).
• Relevant credentials aligned to role focus (tax/accounting qualification, data/analytics certifications, agile/testing credentials) (recommendation).
