Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Italian Cuisine Chef to join our team at a well-established Italian restaurant. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in authentic Italian cooking, creativity in menu development, and the ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Italian dishes including pasta, pizza, risotto, and sauces
* Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all menu items
* Develop new recipes and seasonal menu offerings
* Supervise and guide kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
* Maintain hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for fresh ingredients
* Control food costs and minimize waste
* Ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders during service
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Italian Cuisine Chef or similar role
* Strong knowledge of traditional Italian recipes and cooking techniques
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Leadership and team management skills
* Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
* Culinary certification or relevant qualification is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a high-end or busy Italian restaurant
* Creativity and passion for Italian gastronomy
* Knowledge of menu costing and kitchen operations
